| no partners | | I was still too sore to do my hoped for hike up to the WOR from the park, so I opted for this as I wanted to hike it before it got too hot. Still didn't bring enough water for down low, and it was harder than hoped with my legs not fully recovered from Monday's hike up to Kimball. I realize I am not in great shape, but I am still probably pretty decent considering this is a fairly hard hike. However, the last mile of the hike just went on too long to be fun. Oh well. Lots of nice birds in the oak, but also some large poison ivy spots, too. I like the summit, much more of a true summit compared to Kimball. I stopped briefly in the window, but that hardly feels like a destination with a peak nearby. |
