| no partners | | As someone said in the summit log book, "Flatiron ain't [expletive removed]"! *Note*: this log is only one way (phone battery was already running low at this point). I was grateful I read some of the other triplogs beforehand otherwise we'd have ended up on the Cave Trail (0.5 miles of the listed distance is us going off that direction). Fairly easy to follow the trail up to the Carney Trailhead sign. After that you just have to keep an eye out for the cairns. Our party shared the peak with only one other hiker and only saw maybe 5 people on the trail overall.
Had 3 companions who all exercise regularly but don't typically hike. We were all ready to ice our knees afterwards, haha. Now I've just gotta work up to doing the whole ridgeline  |
