It only took me about 40 years to go south from the Bartlett Dam road. We have always gone north up Indian Springs Wash, but I've been wanting to go down it for decades. It was an awesome choice and with temps in the 50's, a perfect day. I tell ya it's a jungle out there. We were surprised this wash turned into a slot canyon and choked with giant cane in one area. I'm pretty sure we won't go down this at the height of rattlesnake season and with the lower temps the 3 beehives we came upon were not panic inducing. We were also pleased that we had the canyon to ourselves with it being a hunting season. This place reminded us of Spur Cross, albeit without the fee, the people, horses, mountain bikers, horse poo, trail runners and did I mention people?
