An exercise hike with some nice scenery along the way. Ran into the Spur Cross ranger, Kevin, and chatted for a while. He gave me several clues on new areas to look for Indian Ruins outside the park boundary but most were at or beyond my range for a day hike. Didn't see anyone else on entire hike accept a young woman who was taking no chances on her security - two large dogs trotting along with her and a pistol strapped to her waist. Water was still running in Cave Creek but it is lower than a couple of weeks ago.
