We hiked the Miners Needle Loop counterclockwise from the Peralta TH. It was a beautiful sunny day with some clouds moving in during the afternoon which made for some great scenery shots with a cloud streaked sky. I'd never done this hike before so tibber took the lead and as usual astounded me with her knowledge of so many Superstition landmarks. Many of the drainages had modest water flows. We only encountered about 8 people on the entire loop despite both upper and lower parking lots being full. Got back to the car midafternoon, enjoyed a snack and a cold drink, thanks to tibber. Then it was a fun drive on the gravel road back to the pavement with tibber at the wheel. Kind of like being in a Roman chariot race with dust swirling around us from the chariots ahead and tibber deftly passing the laggards at every available straight away with Tonto's hoofs beating a steady rhythm on the road's washboard surface.
