| partners | | After our 6+ hour Colorado/Green Confluence hike we drove back to our camp at Chimney Rock with no plans other than relax for the rest of the evening. But after less than an hour of kicking back Tracey got restless so we decided to take a short hike to check out the descent route into Shot Canyon, which we had tentative plans for in a day or two.
It didn't take long to realize there was a strong likelihood we would NOT be hiking it... between what the descent route looked like, the current wind at 25 mph along with forecast of winds 45-50 mph tomorrow and 55-60 mph the next, it didn't take but a moment to cross that hike off our list. |
