| partners | | After visiting the Fallen Roof Ruins in Road Canyon and set up camp near the end of Cigarette Springs Road we were ready to check out an unnamed canyon. One of the volunteers at the ranger station said although he had never gone into the canyon itself he had seen rock cairns so thought there was a route into it.
The cairns went just far enough to lead to a brush-choked bowl just above a high pour-off so we decided to check out the wide mesa between this canyon and Road Canyon. While we encountered plenty of evidence of deer and coyote we saw neither. After wandering around the mesa we looped back on the slick rock along the edge of the canyon. |
