I hit the trail around 5:15 AM. The weather was great. I had cloud cover for 80% of the hike and a slight breeze. The sunrise was awesome. A fair amount of hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers. All seemed friendly. I even got to talk to a nice couple of ladies training for a Grand Canyon hike. I directed one lady back to Pima Canyon and her car :) . A nice morning on South Mountain. :D
