Mike and I had gone to the base of the climb right after my surgery and at that point my impression was that a rope was required. Looking at it on Sunday and we could tell we could climb without ropes. The rock was fractured and crumbling in several spots so we had to pick and choose our hand and foot holds carefully. With in the first few moves there was an exposed section in which if you feel you'd likely roll a way. The good news was that the rock was fairly well in that section! We quickly climbed up and sat and enjoyed the views for a while.
Note: this peak is on private property and we had permission from the land owner to be on their property. |
