| no partners | | We checked out a "short cut to get to the peak" that another group had been on a day or two before. The trail was super steep and we lost a lot of people quickly forcing us to split into two groups. We decided that the steepness wasn't the best idea for a trek to the top of a 14er. But we found that the road we had been on earlier in the trip was definitely a good bet for when we finally had time to summit. We walked through what was obviously a eucalyptus farm and also saw a shepherd. We also finally reached 12,000 ft which was the highest some of my new friends had ever been. |
