After 20 years in Phoenix I finally got around to this one. Lots of people on the trail for a work day. The trail itself is rocky and uneven and lots of steep rock steps. Not what I look for in a fun hike. I followed the trail to the end and took in the view with lots of other people sitting around the peak while catching my breath after that climb. Then I realized that I wasn't actually on the real peak, so I climbed up the real peak and got the real 360 degree view. I saw a squirrel at the top, but he didn't hang around long enough for me to get a photo. There were also a couple of cool butterflies up there too. I was a little worried that all the steps would kill my knees on the way down, but thankfully I didn't have any problems. Next time I'm in the area I'll do trail #302 around the circumference of the peak.
