| no partners | | | Beautiful day. Headed up to Mildred Point from Longmire. Chose that route in hopes there would be less people. On the way saw two backpackers starting their Wonderland Trail adventure. Didn't see another soul until the Mildred Point sign for the last half mile. And that last section is a dusty, sandy, hot slog to the top but the views are worth it. One group of 3 at the top when I got there. Saw more people on my return trip but in total had to be only about 25 people. For being out just over 5 hours on a sunny, summer Saturday in the park that is pretty amazing. Great views and a great workout. Tonight's beer was definitely earned. |
