This was an exploratory hike from the Massacre Falls trailhead to the base of Old West Boulder Canyon Ridge. After I passed Massacre Ramp on the way out, I stayed too close to Superstition Mountain and ran into several deep brushy ravines. The route I used on the way back is a much better one.

This is an interesting hike in it's own right. A number of interesting rock formations including a cluster of alien space eggs!
