| no partners | | | Set out to find IQ Arch in the Goldfield Mountains. Used Ted Tenny’s book to help develop a route. I’ll admit it...we still missed a few turns! Oh welll...great day to be wandering in the Goldfields! Supposedly IQ arch is one of two arches you can see from the road. We didn’t see it until it was right in front of us! Half of this hike is off trail but easy off-trail. After the arch We looped around Prevention Gap back to the trailhead. We’ve hiked quite a bit in the Goldfields and this is the first hike where we saw evidence of mining. |
