| no partners | | I dropped off M at E11 today since school was cancelled. I decided to go to Red Rock Open Space to wait for Costco to open and stroll while I drank my Coffee. I was enjoying the day and weather and got to the Intemann trail which I hadn’t done. I had a blender bottle 24 oz with protein shake and coffee with me, I decided I could fill up at one of the artesian sparkling springs in Manitou, but the Intemann trail as I found goes all the way to the Incline so I filled the 24 oz bottle with water at the the base of the incline shop since Iron spring is the only Manitou spring I don’t like(tastes like a rusty Penny for about 45 min. After you drink it.) Hiked the incline fell and skinned up my hands on the turn right before my wife fell last week and broke her wrist. After running the rest of the way from the Barr Trail I bought another liter and filled up the bottle again. I hiked down to twin springs and filled up both bottles for the trip back. Hike back up to take Intemann and started back. Took a side hike up to Red Mountain Summit and headed back to Red Rock Open Space. Nice day except for the fall.
Sand canyon trail to Intemann to incline to Barr trail to Red mountain summit trail to Intemann to sand trail to contemplative trail.
What started out as morning Coffe ended up being 20+ miles and 5500’+ AEG. Oh well never made it to Costco. |
