| no partners | | Fun little hike up around Boulder Lakes and up to Bonney Butte. Not the most scenic lakes, but still interesting. Caught a moderate size Brooke Trout in the larger of the 2 lakes, the smaller lake is too shallow and full of weeds to be worth fishing.
Met volunteers with Hawkwatch International on top of Bonney Butte. The Butte is right in the middle of a raptor migration corridor, so they spend the months of September and October tracking the migrating birds and trying to tag them. Very cool. |
