There were Mallards and other various ducks in the little lake The Wood Duck drake was not in sight when we arrived. The female was though someone had to tell me that what it was plus a Ringed Teal, a duck native to South America which people are surmising is an escapee from somewhere nearby. It was nice enough to stand on a rock and pose for a few minutes. Finally the Wood Duck male made his appearance! Such a colorful duck. They all proved to be well worth the drive on a Sunday afternoon. |
