Perfect temps. Got to the trailhead right at daybreak. Followed the loop counter-clockwise. Missed the left turn to Praying Hands and kept following a game trail up the mountain. It was fun for awhile and then not so much, instead of trying to topo over to the saddle we went back down and found the real trail, which was there, readily visible (once you are on it) and not very steep. The trail east of Praying Hands is very scenic and easy to follow until you get to the Massacre split. Trail becomes faint after that, but you just kind of keep going down the mountain towards the parking lot and Bob's your Uncle.
