Having hiked the majority of the paralleling canyons big and small from Miller to Chevelon and everything in between with a handful of those canyons completed with full descents/ascents I’d like to think I’ve seen a lot of country up here.
But this Friday I hit a completely new canyon that I was foolish to leave out as it certainly is one of my new favorites as it has all the common theme goods but a nice twist and more water than I could have ever imagined!
Seldom traveled, rough-ish and few easy exits/entries gives this hole in the ground a great feel.
Saw a cow elk and her calf, some bear scat with no bear and and picked up some old antlers during a day of complete peace and solitude amongst the thousands of people on The Rim which I was lucky to be far far away from.
