| no partners | | I had an errand to run in Scottsdale, so this area seemed like the best spot to hike at to save a trip.
I hiked the southeastern part of the Coachwhip Trail and then did some of the loops on the west side of the park. I last hiked the Coachwhip around 15 years ago. It seems like there have been several more houses built in that area. It might be interesting to check some older aerial photos on the Maricopa County Assessor's site to see.
I hiked part of the western loops in this park several years ago with the family when my kids were little, but I really can't remember much of that hike at all. I have the track, though, so I did hike it. Looks like there is also a maze of trails similar to around Piestewa Peak on the flat areas.
I was very surprised to see that I got over 1100' AEG on this hike, I was thinking of the trails I did as mostly flat. Apparently not. |
