We were wanting to avoid some of the Pyramid traffic, and this loop fit the bill. Up the Ruins trail, then down Lost Ranch Mine. None of the three trail options are all that fun to descend, but I generally prefer Lost Ranch Mine, despite the loose rock. Only saw two hikers in the first four miles, then more than a dozen hikers in the last mile.
