| no partners | | I came back out here to finish the geocache I started two weeks ago. I narrowed down where it would be to at most 3 different locations but was confident it was at one of them so that's where I went first and where I found it. I edited out of my route where I was off trail looking for it (close to a half mile loop of 20 minutes).
Shortly after starting the trail crosses Cottonwood Creek. There was a group of people there that said to watch out for the rattlesnake. It was soaking in a small pool of water. I've never seen a rattlesnake taking a bath before.
Not long after that, I passed a couple and then not much farther along, I passed four others. They were the last people I saw this trip.
Most of the flowers from two weeks ago were drying up. It was warmer too, but not too terribly bad. I started walking a bit past nine and finished about half past noon. I'm going to have to start getting up earlier soon. |
