I asked the turtle if he was hiking Saturday & got the nod. We questioned the weather but at 5:30 am the light rain stopped so we continued on. The trails were pretty firm and we only passed by a few muddy spots. Denny had tickets to the WWE Frog smackdown so we stopped and watched the show for a bit. It's rare to see large frogs in the desert and there were four. Lots of bunnies and quail along the way but no turtles. We took a side trip to the old mine. The mine shaft was longer than I remembered. On the trip out the rain started up again but that kept the temperature cool. I only drank one quart the entire hike. Thanks for the swim turtle.
