This is a county trail just south of the Tonto NF border. I was first to the hieroglyphic trailhead at 4:30 am. It was a bit early but the moon light was enough for the first 30 minutes. The temperature was nice and the sun didn't come out until after my turnaround point 5 miles in. No hikers, bikers, rabbits, snakes or beeves only birds along the way. No evidence of the forest closure and people were hiking up Hieroglyphic trail when I got back. I would have told them of the closure but then people would say I can't keep a secret. :lol: Nice hike. I could see the Supes.
