Started at Spur Cross and hiked most of the way over to CCRA. I went just beyond the short paved road section. I don't remember this being paved when I last hiked this 12 years ago, but that was a while ago. Started at 6:40 in the dark. The first 2 hours it was extremely windy. When the saguaros are bending and swaying, you know it's windy. Saw a few trail runners on the west end who started from outside the park. On the way back I saw more hikers and a couple bikers. Finished up at noon and ate lunch at the trailhead. Nothing extraordinary or special, but a peaceful Saturday morning hike.
