Located outside of Calhan, Co. It is an hour from our house. It has a lot of history. Several different Native American tribes have inhabited this area and used the pigments for paint. Also they drove Bison into the narrow canyons and killed then from above. Micah has a geology unit coming up so we hit here and then Sarrah found a rock app. we identified rocks along the hike in red rock open space today while we did a family hike. |
