| no partners | | I have been looking forward to seeing this tree, since I learned of it last year. I finally got my chance to see it this past Sunday. It was my first stop on a little three day trip to the southern reaches and lower elevations of the Blue Range.
The trail is in excellent shape and the half mile descent goes quick. A partial fence guards some of the tree, but the setting is pretty informal, with no plaques or other signs indicating the large trees rank or presence. I was impressed by the tree and it made the perfect leg stretcher for me and the pup after the long trip from the valley. |
