I had seen this trail on the Apache Sitgreaves website and thought it might be something interesting to see. So I headed up the Coronado Trail with the intention of hiking the Fry and Big Tree Trails, then biking back to my truck. The steep Fry Trail was covered in 8 inches of ice for what appeared to be several miles, so I chose the Big Tree Trail instead. It was an enjoyable little hike. The Big Tree is a BEAST! Nothing went as planned this weekend, but at least I got to do something fun. |
