1030 start from Canyon Lake. This was an out and back to the Second Water Trail junction where I stopped for lunch shortly after noon. The temperature was in the high 60's, low 70's with hardly a cloud in the sky. No breeze to speak of, which I could have used hiking out of the canyon. It felt warm in the early afternoon. I brought 2.5 liters of fluids and drank most of it.

I don't hike this trail often enough. Every time I do, I ask myself why I don't. It's one of the few trails in the western Supes not ravaged by fire in 2019/20 and it has some great views in both directions.

Gorgeous day, great hike.
