California grandsons were here for a visit, since 106 was to be the high, I thought short hikes around Carefree might be a good idea. We visited Horseshoe Lake, Bartlett Lake, Kay Sears Ruins, and Seven Springs, getting a picture of the Fountain on the way back to Mesa. The boys are moving from Santa Cruz to Des Moines, Iowa. They will have the advantage of seeing a lot of cornfields in Iowa.
