I started earlier today and there was some cloud cover to hide the morning sun. Several bikers and hikers out but not crowded at all. I changed the route and took the Spillway trail to the Meridian trail and around Cats Peak trail back Meridian trail and finally the County Line trail. I saw the pay station this morning.

$2 to hike and $85 for the annual pass. I don't think I'll be out here more than 42 times in a year. Nice area for some easy hiking and to watch the RC planes. I wore hiking boots on Wednesday and my legs got tired. Switched back to trail runners today which was much easier. May need to alternate with the boots to get used to them. It's not cool yet but less hot.
