I was planning to hike the interpretive trail and then loop around Coon Bluff, but then I spotted the trail that follows the fence all the way down to the Granite Reef area, so I took that down to where I saw the Maricopa Trail signs and turned around.

Lots of fall color in the cottonwoods by the river. Took a couple side trails to the riverbed and got some nice shots of the trees, river and Red Mountain. Very chilly to start, first hour was pretty cold. then it warmed up once the sun hit. Saw some hikers once I got back closer to the parking lot, also saw a hunter along the fence trail.
