ATA’s Thursday Regulars have been clearing the corridor for what will become a five-mile loop trail out of the Pine trailhead. Over several days last year and four this spring, and working from both ends of the project, the crew cleared 1.8 miles. Today was the “Promontory Point” moment when they finished and connected the cleared segments from the south end with those from the north end.

Trail construction is expected in the fall/winter.

The “Regulars” work most Thursdays on the AZT within a couple hour’s drive from Fountain Hills. Anyone interested in taking your outdoor experience up a few notches, contact me for more information.
