Right now is absolutely the finest time to climb Mount Elden! The fall colors are at their prime while some wildflowers are still in bloom. This was definitely my most enjoyable Elden climb, and probably would've been my fastest had the scenery not been so damn sweet! I guess riding my bike across town 2-3 days a week has helped my cardio a bit. Bushwhacked about 100 yards off trail to get some shots of the aspens on the north face. Looks like a great time to do the Heart Trail as well...damn my cramped schedule!
