With the new Radio Fire on Elden, I thought I would go check it out. It didn't do much, and was contained at 5.1 acres. The fire was located in the valley over by the Devils Head. Other than that, there were some storm clouds on the horizon, but no rain yet. It was also very hot out there today, 93 for our high in town and I would think a few degrees hotter at the base of Elden. Actually, the hike was pretty miserable going up. I don't know what I was thinking, but I wanted to check out the fire and keep tomorrow open to possibly do Abineau Canyon.
