Wanted to get up to these towers for awhile now and since I had afternoon plans figured I could get up there and get back home since the drive is only 20 miles for me. Started just after 8am and spotted 4 deer about 1/2 mile into the hike on the Goat Camp trail. Was surprised to see them so close to the trail, they were wondering what the heck my bell was but did not run off on me so I was able to get some pictures and good looks at them. Continued on and got up to the towers in just over an hour where is was pretty much perfect out. Stayed up there close to an hour and came back down where I got a lecture by an older woman hiker on not to hike alone while one of her friends told me she is like that with everyone.
