There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Re: marsh valley loop
I suggest clockwise with a return through Needles Canyon from the Bull Pass Trail to Boulder Canyon....look for my lost camera, Pentax W90 Optio, black with green trim.
Posted from my turquoise Princess rotary dial phone.

Re: marsh valley loop
Clockwise from FW thru Garden Valley to Boulder Canyon. South on BC to Cavalry. A small uphill up Calvary through a pretty cacti garden. The scenery through here is gorgeous I say go through Bull Pass for a FULL and steep experience. If you have time go to Black top Mesa but allow another hour to do this. Love it! Easy 4 miles out the Dutchman.trekkin gecko wrote:clockwise or counterclockwise?

Re: marsh valley loop
Heck Kelly, do what Mike and I did. We did it clockwise, brought both routes with us and made up our minds when we got to the Bull Pass Junction, based on how we felt, and the time of day....
With your speed and stamina, you could probably do both and just use the Bull Pass/BT Mesa as a side trip and then run the last four miles of Dutchman....

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"
