By heading out midday, we got stuck behind loads of tourists, snowbirds, and other outdoor enthusiasts but we eventually reached the TH. We quickly dropped down into the narrows and they were as sweet as ever. I thought the gals were a little more experienced at rappelling then they were, but us to guys were there to help out and you can't get too hurt when both the raps are into swimmers. After that, we had a blast playing in the many boulder caves which personally I find more entertaining than the narrows. There is a fair amount of scrambling & down climbing required to navigate thru them, but thankfully there were no issues with my group. And after a sweet trip thru this amazing gem, we bushwhacked our way out of and back alongside the canyon while the sun was slowly getting ready to set. Which always makes for great lighting for shots of Four Peaks, Tortilla Mt, Fish Creek Peak, and all the other many peaks & canyon is the area. |
