If you go north on Verrado Way and turn west on main street, you can park in the country club parking lot. Then head north and follow the trail up to a small hill. I found some interesting friends on this trip that included a snake, a beehive, and a rather large blueish colored lizard. It was a very easy hike until the very end. We just stood there, looking at an ominous hill that had to be at a 25%incline all the way up. We then started trekking. With our heads down and trying to trudge forward, we decided it was time to catch our breath. Tears welled in my eyes as I looked up at the remainder of the hill to be climbed and then turned around to the see the distance we already traveled. We hadn't even made a dent in it. So we kept going till our legs were burning and finally, my friend gave up. I'm in a bit better condition than he so I kept going and made it to the top. Victory! It was a great feeling and the view from the top was nice. There is also some fun bouldering all along the trail, if you're interested. |
