Headed about 1.5 miles west from the trailhead and then went north on a loose, rocky, overgrown, and eroded 4x4 road. I doubt it gets used very often, if at all. It had to of been in better condition back in the day. It climbed straight up a hill side to a ridge (where I was treated with excellent views of Peak 3074 and the surrounding peaks) before dropping over the other side into a drainage. Took the drainage down about a 1.6 miles before exiting and jumping back on the Verrado trail system, where I saw two deer. Besides the two near the petroglyphs, there was only one good sized rock wall to negotiate.
