| no partners | | I had almost forgot about this pretty little trail at the end of Frye Mesa Rd.
Only had a couple of hours to hike before sundown and this fit the bill. I first looped the very short nature trail and then took the high road down to Hawk Hollow tank. On the return trip I decided on another loop around the nature trail and was glad I did, ran into Gila Monster #5 for the year! The previous 4 have all been youngsters, but this one was a real nice adult. A couple of tarantulas on the drive out rounded off the wildlife sightings on this very pleasant late evening desert stroll! |
