I had tried going to Peter's canyon before, but it was too hot. This day I set out with a buddy and the dog to get back there and see what all the fuss was about.

After making it back there, and I can definitely say it's worth the effort. I was seriously impressed how it still had a decent trickle despite it was two months since the last rainfall. Timing is everything here, without a decent flow it's a nice canyon but I'd really like to see it right after a good few monsoons.

On a side note: I wouldn't recommend dogs. I kind of knew that going in, but was a bit stubborn about it. Not a particularly easy trip for the guy. Between the relatively sharp, hot rocks and the water, it was a nightmare on his pads.
