South Arapahoe Peak looked to be the best bet, and I wasn't disappointed (nor did I disappoint myself). I expected to have some issue being that I'd never hiked over 10,000 feet before. However this trail worked out well, and had the perfect amount of steady incline, finishing with a manageable push.
In the summer, be sure to start very early due to afternoon thunderstorms. We started at 7:30 with perfect skies, and by the time we left at 2 it was raining. It was fun to watch the clouds form throughout the morning. |
