Went on a father-daughter hike at Spur Cross. She hadn't been there before so I gave the full tour with what I know about Spur Cross Ranch history, the archeology of Cave Creek Canyon, plane crash site history, etc.

Spur Cross was busy for a week day but only met one couple on the trail #252 segment of this hike. Cave Creek was dry at the crossing near the trail head but had a small flow further up the canyon at the corrals.

A beautiful day and I always enjoy time with my daughter.

Dry at the crossing near the trailhead. Small flow upstream near the corrals but it disappeared into the sandy creek bottom long before reaching the Metate trail.

The trough was full with some flow from the pipe. Minnows and bees were present as usual.
