Probably my last autumn foliage chase of the year and for myself, there is no better place to end with than Bonita Creek at Gila Box!
Addie was my partner again on this one and together we completed what I like to call the Bonita Rim/Lee/Pipeline loop. Recent rain & wind have stripped many of the trees of their leaves, but there were still many very nice colors left above and autumn carpeted roads & paths to follow below.
The canyon wildlife was the real highlight of the day! Bighorn sheep up the canyon walls, 20 or so coatimundis along the creek & a very up close encounter with a blue heron. There were also many beaver dam crossings with signs of recent activity, but still no sightings ..... some day.

Beautiful colors, amazing wildlife, super scenic canyon, cold clear autumn leaf filled creek,
