One year I bought 3 pairs with a vibram sole and wore them for the next three years until the soles literally fell off. It's taken until now to find a respectable replacement. I had a pair of chacos, but I could never get into wearing bricks, but I'm pretty sure I was 6' tall when I wore them.
I would definitely not wear these in the Sierra Anchas or white mountain and rough canyon, but I think they will work everywhere else. Their apparent weakness is that it hurts to get stung between the big toe and second toe which what are the odds? I managed to do.
It's crazy how Pikes Peak looks today compared to a month ago. If the daily afternoon deluges stop I might actually be able to hike it.
After dr appt. took Micah to the zoo in between waves of t storms. Got home 10 minutes before we got about 3 inches of rain and hail in 10 minutes. Sarrah had to wait by the low spot for 20 minutes to wait for the road to stop flash flooding to get home. |
