wanted to get some quick practice in before tomorrow's hike that has no trail, has elevation and involves bushwhacking so this was my choice. I know it's not much but better than nothing.

I ended up doing the summits of the 3 southern peaks. The Swestern peak has a ridgeline. Who knew? anyway I followed it all the way to the western part of the circumference trail. THAT involved some rumpaging down that western side and it was steep and slippery at times but for a one time deal; it was fun. The only reason I followed it is because it looks like its been done by others.

Quite a few folks out. Trails are all in good shape.

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
