| no partners | | We were unable to find information on road and after fire conditions for the trip into Roger's Canyon, so opted to find out for ourselves and make a report on this site. The road was in it's usual difficult state. I was lucky to have a great navigator direct me in my SUV to the trail head. There we found three vehicles, but saw no one until on our way out. Two hikers carrying 4 gallons of water were on a ten day backpacking outing. It was interesting to see how plant life were surviving and new growth taking over. We did find areas to explore on future hikes. I am always amazed to find this site in such good condition. It's probably a good thing that the road is such a nerve racking drive in to dissuade those who may not treasure the site as our group does. |
