I needed an easy hike to get moving again. The trailhead was dry but Black Mesa trail was wet and the
grass near the trail were wet. The air was cool and stayed that way most of the hike. Not many critters to be seen but there were 2 cardinal playing near the trail. I passed some backpackers on there way out and asked if they got rained on last night. They said it rained off and on all night which would explain the Black Mesa trail. I finished just after 9am. First road road isn't too bad but there are some bumps going through the washes.
