Had originally planned on Pass Mtn Summit for this morning, but the weather looked so nice, I switched to Picketpost while I was driving.

Cool, cloudy, and breezy to start. There were a few other cars at the trailhead, but I had the mountain all to myself. Steadily worked my way uphill, enjoying the solitude. A few sprinkles near the summit, but hazy/dusty views from the wind.

Uneventful hike back downhill. Smacked my left shin against one rock, leaving a nice bruise. The Salewas I was wearing are incredibly grippy, but that means they also don’t pivot when I want them to, my own fault. Sunny for the final mile. Saw one hiker near the trailhead as I was finishing up. Nice day.

Wildflowers Observation Light
Most down low are dried out. Still some flowers on the cactus, palo verde, and higher up. Long past prime though.
